Groceries and Books

Paddy’s is a great place to get fruit and veggies. On my first year living in Sydney, discovering this spot was a great save because when living around Central Station and not having a job yet, doing your grocery shopping can be a bit of a challenge - I remember eating a lot of canned food those first few weeks 😅.

If you look it up on Google, Paddy’s can be hard to find: there’s a shopping centre called Market City, and Paddy’s Markets is on the ground floor of that shopping centre. It has fruit, veggies, and all sorts of different markets (gift shops, bags, massages, fabrics, jewellery, etc.)

The other day I was surprised to find a big space allocated for a street library inside Paddy’s. Not many books yet, though I loved the concept - I wished I had a book with me to leave it there.

Hopefully, this setup will be maintained - a bit of peace and sharing in the middle of many shops trying to sell stuff. Time will tell.
